Christine Angliss, England

I began dancing at the age of 4years, being taught my first dances
by my mother, who came from County Kildare,
She then enrolled me with Bridie Williams,
a champion dancer from the O'Roarke School in Limerick.

I started to teach in 1959, establishing the "Kildare School" Coventry.
The school achieved several solo world championships
as well as being 4 times World Dance Drama Champions

John Brooks, England

I was born in London to Kerry & Galway parents. I started my dancing career with the local teacher Mrs Ellen Ryan at 6 years of age. In my early teens I moved to the lengendary Ted Kavanagh RIP, and experienced 13 years dancing for, in my view, one of the finest teachers ever. I was a member of the very successful Kavanagh World and All Ireland Champion Figure and Ceili teams for 8 years.

Pauline Shaw, England

Pauline Shaw was a successful dancer taking her tuition from Terry Bowler and Richard Griffin in London, England.  Pauline has been an active teacher for 30 years, having pupils win all major championship titles, including the World Championships and All Irelands to mention just a few.  Pauline is still an active teacher with her daughter Donna Crouch TCRG teaching with her, and her son Dean Crouch helping when time allows.

Francis Curley, Ireland

As a dancer Francis from an early age danced with the famous Matthews School under the tutorship of the renowed teacher and adjudicator Mrs. Pat Matthews, Dundalk. He succeeded as a dancer to win many titles in both solo and ceili championships at Ulster, All-Ireland and World level.

Maire Dixon, Ireland

Máire Dixon has held the post of “Office Manager” with  An Coimisiun le Rinci Gaelacha in Dublin, Ireland since 2003. She is the youngest daughter of Maire Penrose who was twice All Ireland champion in the 1930s and who is currently 86 years young and resides in Dublin as an Honorary member of An Coimisiun.

Siobhan McDonnell, Ireland

Siobhan started dancing at the age of 4 with the Anna McCoy S.D. in Belfast. After moving to Sligo at the age of 6, she continued her dancing career with the late John McDermott R.I.P. where she competed at Oireachtas Rince Connacht, Oireachtas Rince nahEireann and Oireachtas Rince na Cruinne.   Siobhan won many presitages events including, Regional Qualifer twice, All Ireland and World medals.

Charles Moore, Ireland

Charles is from the historical City of Limerick Ireland.
He started his dancing career at a very young age with the famous Scoil Rince Ui Ruairc and remained there until he started his own dancing school . He would like to thank the teachers of Scoil Rince Ui Ruairc for his dancing achievements during his time with them.

Patricia Kildunne-Budding, New Zealand

I was born in Manchester UK and started dancing at a young age with the Grainger School. The sisters Brenda, Regina and Maureen were wonderful teachers and role models. I was one of their first students to pass my TCRG in Dublin in the early 1970s. Just before emigrating to New Zealand in 1982 with my husband and two children I achieved my ADCRG in London.

James McCutcheon, Scotland

James started his dancing career aged 9 under the guidance of Kathleen Hamilton.  He later joined the world famous McLaughlin School where he enjoyed a successful competitive career in solo, ceili and figure dancing disciplines.

Qualifying as a teacher in 1984, he co-founded the Setanta School of Irish Dancing with his wife.

Noreen McCutcheon, Scotland

Noreen was a relatively late starter as an Irish dancer, not starting lessons until she was nearly twelve.

She was guided for most of her dancing career by Jenny McInally, with a short interlude under the instruction of Patsy Kerr.

Noreen qualified as a teacher in 1977 and opened a small school in Edinburgh.

Maureen Bakke, USA

Maureen was born in London to Irish parents and immigrated with her family as a child to Brooklyn, New York. She learned her first dance steps at age 8 from Joey Flynn, the renowned dancer, teacher and fiddler.

When Joey retired, Maureen joined the class of Mary Bastis, one of the famous McNiff dancers. Dancing competitively with the Bastis School

Colleen Coyle Kelly, USA

The Coyle School's roots can be traced back to 1971 in Philadelphia when Mr. and Mrs. Edward Coyle enrolled their daughters, Grace Ann and Eileen in Irish dance classes taught by Mr. Peter Dougherty originally of Co. Derry, Ireland. Ms. Bridie Logue Norquist and Mr. Michael Barlow, students of Mr. Dougherty, took over teaching his classes. Three years later, Colleen began Irish dance lessons at age four.

Michael Fitzpatrick, USA

Michael began his career in Irish Dancing and Music at the age of 5. His competitive dancing career spanned 15 years, solely under the direction of the late dance master, Cyril McNiff (TCRG/ADCRG). During that time he won many local and state championships, including The North American Dancing Championships in 1971 and 1975, as well as the Eastern Regional Championships in 1976.

Eileen Henry, USA

Eileen began taking Irish dance lessons in 1971 at the age of six with her sister Grace Ann Coyle, ADCRG.  The youngest Coyle sister, Colleen Coyle Kelly, ADCRG, joined the school in 1974 when she was four.  Eileen's first instructor was Peter Dougherty, origionally from Co. Derry.  When he retired, the classes were taken over by Bridie Logue and Michael Barlow.

Eddie Irwin, USA

Eddie, whose parents Delia and John emigrated from Galway and Limerick, respectively; began my classical piano training at age 5. A year later, I started my Irish Dancing career under the tutelage of Maureen Hansen Keohane in Boston, Ma.

Christina Ryan, USA

Christina Ryan Kilcoyne born in Miltown Malbay Co. Clare home of Irish Music.
A pupil of Eugene and Pat Phillips who had a very successful school in County Clare.
Married to James Kilcoyne we have seven children,(the Brady bunch)

Moved to Pennsylvania in 1989 started the Ryan school. Have had a lot of success in our school.

Sheila Stevens, USA

Sheila established the Shamrock School of Irish Dance in 1977.  In 1980, Sheila secured her official certification as both a TCRG and ADCRG, with An Coimisiun le Rince Gaelacha,  Sheila is a very active member in the New England Region, having served three times as Regional Director, she co-chaired four Nationals and several New England Regional Oireachti. She is also a member of the IDTANA (Irish Dance Teachers Association of North America), has served as past President of that organization. Sheila is a very active Adjudicator throughout North America.
